Turn Signals in Mirrors (M3 style) on the Lincoln LS

I've wanted to update my Lincoln LS mirrors to M3 looking mirrors for a while.

 

Here's what I did:
- purchased the el'cheapo mirros from e-bay
- then I cut out the clear signal window lens
- I then 'trimmed' the lens with a dremel tool
- I took my LS mirrors off my car
- I then cut a hole in my LS mirror housing
- I then epoxy’ed the clear lens in the hole

I then:
- wired in two amber bulbs into the mirror interior housing
- one pointed to the outside (toward the clear lens)
- one pointed inside

I also drilled in 3 puddle lights:
- one toward the clear lens
- two in the bottom of the mirror housing

I then wired the lights up:

Hooking up the signal wires were tricky - as the LS uses a multiplex wiring system - there is a Front Electronics Module:
