I read about putting a manual transmission in a mark viii ( always intrigued me ) and one of the things that had to happen was a new speedo gear. When you did yours was it like an adapter or a whole new gear?

You guys are awesome!! That definitely explains the re-pin except one thing. On the 92-97 harness there's one unused pin, and on the 98-08 there's two unused pins. Now I'm guessing its for the vehicle power wires so question is do I just splice the two wires together when I'm swapping them or...

So will the TCC solenoid just plug into the new tranny without a problem? How bout the re-pin? Can I just use the old wiring harness?
