Just inherited 93 Executive from estate 40,000 miles, radio is not working properly, can anyone tell me where I can buy a new one or get mine reworked? Radio worked for one day and quit just as the power antenna quit too.
When you select seek, it keeps running thru all the stations and won't select or stop at one, and if you go from FM1 to FM2 the volume cuts off. Also the clock is out is that usually a fuse or do I need a new clock.
And,..does anyone know where I can get a new face plate for the A/C control unit, the push buttons for Max A/c and other functions are thin plastic and the fronts are broken off. Someone said you could get a generic look alike, is that true and where can I get one?
I am not mechanically inclined, would prefer referral to a quality shop in the Tampa area that could fix these issues. I really don't like dealerships, one day you get a good tech, the next time you get a tech that knows less than we do.
Thanks for any help you folks can offer.
PS, if your feed back says the fix it tasks are too involved, I will sell the car, don't have the time to go to shops a lot, I travel 70% for work.
Uncles Town Car has new Michelins, all fluids changed, tune up, A/C serviced, Professional detail and Blue Coral wax.
Uncle was a machinest at McDill, motor is blueprinted and balanced, rims are balanced.
Sell for 6k

Ditch the factory radio. Get yourself an aftermaket. Best buy/circuit city, local stereo shops can do it. As far as the climate control, ive never dealt with that. Does it really bother you how it is?

go to a junkyard and pick up a new climate control. THey should cost about $75. I replaced mine because the buttons broke through as well.

As for the radio... I might have the one you need. But I strongly suggest getting an aftermarket one, which is newer and will sound better, have useful features, and also will last longer than a radio that is already 10+ years old.

Thanks, I will remember the tip, already put in a climate control from a used parts car lincoln, looking at the Alpine CD radios they seem to fit the exact opening of the old radio.
Appreciate the reply.

For the radio, i would get an after market. I have a cassette in my 95 TC. For the A/C cont. unit Id go to a pick a part or even from www.ebaymotors.com

good luck
