I recently bought my first Lincoln Ls that was in need of an engine replacement. After replacing the engine I it wouldn't start due to the fuel pump also needing to be replaced. After replacing the fuel pump the car finally was able to crank. About 1 minute after letting it run the power steering pump sounded like it was going to explode and had a very bad metal to metal contact sound. The fluid level was good so I replaced the pump(3 times now) and I am still getting the same noise except the last 2 pumps have blown a hole in the back of the pump. Is there something I am missing as far as burping the power steering or a correct procedure after replacing the pump? Fluid levels I have kept a check on at all times and are good. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
