advice regarding engine controls

Hi all

Can any tell me if there is any difference in the drive
By wire controls, cam sensor and crank sensor from a 2003 lincoln ls V8 versus a 2008 mustang GT? What I am wondering is can the ecu from a 2003 Lincoln LS V8 control a 4.6L 3V engine and 5R55E automatic trans that came out of a 2008 mustang, I know both motors use the same firing order at least

to clarify, no as in a LS PCM wont control a 3v mustang drive train at least not in a plug and play kind of way

Could you please advise me regarding differences in cam and crank sensor types between regular ford as used on the 4.6L engines and the jaguar derived system used on the Lincoln LS or could you direct me as to where I can find the info?
