I had Sold my Last Lincoln LS (2005) a couple months ago. I found out what was causing my issues:
CRACKED CYLINDER HEAD ON #2
A friend of mine put the putty stuff in to seal the crack, got the coolant running smoothly and sold it for $2,500. Good Riddance.
191,000 kms on it (119,000 Miles).
The crack could have been caused by the overheat issues. Meh. Regardless it passed Safety and E-test.
But just before I go...
I wanted to mention two parts that failed on it before it was gone.
1) The plastic unit that holds your eye glasses, the clip failed and remained open. Further, the unit popped out of the roof and would dangle slanted. If I popped it back it, it would just fall out.
2) The arm rest latch release failed. You know, the little clip you press to open the center console bucket? Clip broke. No I was not rough. Just broke one day when I pressed it in.
Cool. Thanks for reading. Feel free to comment on the cylinder head crack and or say its my fault
(Worth noting, the car had been in an accident not reported on CarFax (I found out much later on). It was bought at an auction by a small dealer. Also, it had a misfire from the 2nd month I was driving it. - The two are probably related).
