Has anyone painted front or back bumper chrome trim?

I'm looking to paint my front and back chrome bumper trim on my non sport LS. It looks horrible on my white LS. Was wondering if anyone has also pics would be great!

Yup I had my rear bumper chrome trim painted when I got a sport front bumper

its very common to do to get the sport bumper look and get rid of the chrome. Just make sure the prep work is done well and it should last, chrome is tricky.

Should I take it to a body shop or something because mine is the white pearl tri-coat, which I heard is tricky to do yourself and make it look correct since there is a mid coat etc.?

10+ years since the car came out, you don't think someone thought of doing this? Plenty of threads, how to's, and pictures of this around here. Do a bit of searching, it will help you.

So in regards to OP, yes, its been done and looks good if you cant find a sport bumper.

Dipped my Chrome bumper trim and top and bottom grilles. Not sure if I like it, doesn't match as well as I would of hoped.

Took mine to the body shop today to get a quote, they said $300 for it. No way am I paying that much when I can do it myself for like $50.
