interior light upgrade.???leds

redid my fathers interior lights in his jeep srt8 to blue leds. looks great! has anyone done this to the ls? do they even sell the leds or not/ (2001-ls). just a thought, i'll probably figure a way to do it regaurdless..lol

There's no kits like AAC has, but it can and has been done before.

I know there are kits to convert to leds for the LS but I don't think you can change the color of them.. Unless the people who did the conversion thought it was over-rated..

Most have white LED's in their LS that have done the conversion. Pektel has blue LED's.

You just swap the bulbs for LED bulbs, nothing else required. They have different color LED's so you can put whatever color you'd like, most just prefer the nice, clean, crisp white look. They have red,green,blue,orange,yellow,5000k white, 6000k white,

I went with something similar to these LED panels they carry at LSk, but I got mine at Pep Boys for a cheaper price & they work great & are bright. They also come in different colors.

I have 2 in my overhead map light, 2 under my dash (one on each side) & 1 in my trunk. For my rear map lights I used an 8 LED fuse style bulb. Here's a pic I took of my LED lights, but the pictures don't do it justice as to how bright it is:

I did the blue led's. Kinda sucks, because you can't see very well if you are looking for something. Looks cool though.

it does look right in the picture, and i know most of the small bulb bases are interchangeable. not all but a lot of three digit bulbs can be used , a lot of the size differences are the size of the bulb itself

well i just llooked a the lighting chart and saw: Step/Courtesy Light Bulb Size: 194. so i searched for 194 led.

amazon says: Cross Reference: W5W 194 147 152 158 159 161 168 184 192 193 259 280 285 447 464 555 558 585 655 656 657 1250 1251 1252 2450 2652 2921 2825 921 906 579.
so i assumed it will fit but i just wanted to ask before i go ahead and make an order. maybe they wont fit for whatever weird reason... you know how stuff goes.

yeah then the base should be good to go, the only other thing you need to consider is how long the bulb is, again from looking at it, I think its fine, but also i never replaced the bulbs in my 1st gen, just my 03 and I know some of the fixtures are different...
