Just got some softer 8k springs from Stance for my coilovers. The original 10k were just a bit too stiff for me even at the lower dampening settings. This should represent a 20% decrease in stiffness with the ability to dial up the dampening as needed. Getting them swapped out on Friday and will let you know how it goes.

I had to do the exact same thing on one of my other cars that I had installed the Stance GT+ coil over kit. The softer springs made the ride much more livable on the street - and I still left the struts/shocks on the #1 setting (softest) unless I took the car to the track.

Good to know there are options. I really need to get a set of these coils.

Nice. I haven't installed mine yet but like the above post, glad to see options out there

I have no idea as far as the size (ID and length) of the spring that come in the Stance kit for the LS, but you can always use springs from other companies in the Stant kit. The springs I switched to in my other car happen to be from Eibach. You just may have to convert from kG/mm to lbs/in to know what to buy. I made this chart to help select the right rated springs.

Interesting - was under the impression my Stance Coilovers came with 10k springs , however, upon removal they are stamped 9k. The new 8k's represent an approximate 11% softer spring rate and give me a ride closer to what I was looking for - a "Euro Sport" feel. I still have the dampening down at 2 or 3. If I would have known I was originally at 9k would have gone with 7k's since talking to Stance it's preferable to have the dampening in the 4 to 8 range. Overall, I am happy with the result and feel handling has not been significantly compromised yet they now provide a smoother ride.

Hmmm, I am about to rebuild my Stance shocks. Might look into changing the springs while I'm at it. I run 2 in front and 1 in the rear. While I love the handling they are, without a doubt, very harsh. I like feeling the bumps in the road but don't really want to know how many pebbles are in that bump.

Plus, given that I've blown the shock out once, I need a higher amount of dampening.
