can someone post up pics of 90's towncar trunk set ups/audio systems :D . getting ready to do an install, and i'm trying to get a few ideas on how i want to make my box i.e shape. so far i've come up with doing a "two" piece" box design, as part of the box will go up underneath the rear deck which the port will be under. i've looked around all over the net and haven't come up with much. also it doesn't seem as tho too many people are putting systems in towncars, it seems as tho most people got marks or LS's, especially from what i've seen so far on this site as opposed to town cars. show some love, lets see them town car trunks

im workin on replacing my speakers and havin an amp to them but i aint gettin subs. im too anal to get subs cause the ones i want will :q:q:q:q my car up. i agree with you most people on here have ls or mark viii. not hatin on yall ls and mark viii owners.

i ain't put my system in yet i'm still puttin it off, but i got all my amps and :q:q:q:q. i chose the directed d2205 5 channel. i'm going to run my mids and highs off of that, and run 4 cerwin vega 12's off the sub channel, but since my amp has strapping capability i'm going to master/slave it with 2 more additional d 2400's. i'll be able to keep the stock deck in the dash by using audio control's 6xs and well i wanted to run an eq so i matched it up with there eqs unit.

the way i'm building the box (currently under construction) is so that it will contour the middle trunk floor, go up and under the rear deck where the ports will be. the subs will be inverted, and there will be a system of beauty panels that will either be carpeted or painted to match the car, so that when you pop my trunk, theres a nice smooth flat panel, with the subs sticking up in the middle, and the amp rack will be layed out with the d2205 in the middle with a d 2400 on either side, and i'll probably mount the eq and loc on the underside of the top beauty panel. it should be pretty nice when i'm done. besides all that i just got the lincoln tinted, and i'm looking for a set of vogue v-9 17's and want to run vogue rubber. those wheels and tires will really set the car off. at first i wanted to run 18's or 20's, but i didn't want the ride to deminish or the wheels to rub, i like my full turning radius and stock smooth ride.

yea the subs i'm runnin ain't the ones i wanted, but they'll beat nicely without tearin my :q:q:q:q up. for a future system i'm thinking of 2 dd amps and dd subs or 2 fi 18's ran off a few oldschool fosgate amps all strapped together

just be careful, i think the fuel tank is mounted vertically at the front of the trunk (i know civ/marquis are) so dont screw through the sheet metal unless you wanna buy a new tank. had a customer come into work with a vic that mounted his amps there with big long sheet metal screws and before he was finished (still had 8 screws in though) he realized he was standing in gas
