    Mercury Marauder Torque Converter (myth)?

You can't go by the aftermarket and what they produce, there is a difference between the Marauder / Mach 1 TC and the standard 11.25. Look up the tech articles about the Marauder and Mach 1 when they were first introduced. Most aftermarket TC builders will sell you the standard 11.25 TC. If...

    Custom cobverter causing vibration?

That's good news and wraps up the a very bad last week, I don't remember if I put a note in the package or not. I'll mail out your receipt when I get back. I'm on vacation and seen you placed the order for the flex plate in the thread, after I had left. Ended up spending hours trying to...

    Custom cobverter causing vibration?

I’ve emailed you back with some instructions to check. I’m not going to just take anyone’s word that the product is bad until it is thoroughly checked out. I’ve been doing this for years and you wouldn’t believe how many times I’ve heard the words, professionally installed, Ford Tech, Ford...

    Mark VIII T45 swap?

I've done 4 Gen IIs and 9 Gen Is myself. I know of 6 others that have been done. A few of these were also a 03/04 Cobra engine swap that I did.

    Mark VIII T45 swap?

I've not run into that issue before. I can't say if the changes will do anything or not for the message center. They do take some input from the PCM since it is part of the SCP network of the 10 computers in these cars. I can't say if the selector or the DTR have a direct input to the message...

    What gear indicator error?

    Mark VIII T45 swap?

No problem. That particular CEL can not be added to the software but the set point limits were able to be added. So all I have to do is change the limits and that code will no longer show up. When you get a chance send me your chip and I'll make the changes for you.

    Mark VIII T45 swap?

Sorry for the confusion, I'm running back and forth from town and didn't read your post throughly, just jumping on and trying to answer quickly before heading back out the door. The BOO input to the EEC is taken out of the circuit by the chip. It stays physically connected for your brake...

    Mark VIII T45 swap?

What you normally do is take the BOO which they have renamed again BPP (brake pedal postion) switch out of the circuit and move it over to the clutch switch. What happens when you just leave it hooked up is it burns up the starting circuit because now there is constant voltage to it where as...

    Mark VIII T45 swap?

That's a wiring issue. You need to wire in the BOO switch, (brake on off) for the manual setup vice just just connecting the wires together for a completed circuit. This will also tie into the clutch switch if you choose to go that route. You can modify a Mustang or Tbird Super Coupe switch...

    Mark VIII T45 swap?

I didn't take it as an attack. Just pointed out the facts and what is involved when you have a swap going on.

    Mark VIII T45 swap?

All the automatic trans programming is turned off in his programming. This isn't the first time I programmed for this swap and I'm pretty sure I've done more of these swaps than any of the other tuners out there. He didn't say whether he had a flashing OD or not, just that he had a CEL. Also...

    Mark VIII T45 swap?

Let me know what the CEL is so I can add it in the data base so it can be turned off. That is if it is related to the swap. If it's something else then you will have to r or r the item.

    Mark VIII T45 swap?

About 2 years ago before JW left SCT he added the correct parameters in the data bases so that we can now properly change the settings in the EEC so that it does work with the newer reluctor rings. This saves you from having to install a Speed Cal device. But if you are going to run more than...

    tuning

Yeah I got all the automatic tuning stuff covered besides transmissions and TCs already that are already out there in 700 plus rwhp vehicles. Soon to have some serious 800 plus installs coming up with some multi disk units and one serious transmission.

    tuning

Very good points. I've dealt with a few of those that went the Ebay route and it was very painful for the customer and costly. The EEC IV Mark 8s are a totally different animal when it comes to tuning. Without the high dollar data logging equipment that most tuners won't spend to have you...

RWHP numbers, what do ya got.?

Ponie, not a problem. I'm the owner of Blue Oval Chips. Besides reprogramming, mods, swaps and installs I also now provide custom transmissions. After experiencing 2 failed (so called bullet proof) trans from another shop myself. Then seeing numerous others spend their hard earned cash...

RWHP numbers, what do ya got.?

That's totally proprietary. This is my bread and butter so I'm not about to give out how we do it. And yes it will be in the 9s once he gets the latest head problem taken care of. This car is totally streetable also. He drives it almost daily to and from work...

RWHP numbers, what do ya got.?

Nice numbers, what compression are you running? Let me know if you need a trans to hold up to it. So far we haven't found anyone able to blow up our Stage 3 or 4 yet. And looking forward to a twin turbo setup to test the Stage 4 here soon. With full lockup and our Stage 3 TC we have a...

    Installed Chip Car Don't Start

You are mixing up standard off the shelf type programs with custom programs. There's a big difference between them. You can get the standard cookie cutter off the shelf program from any chip dealer such as Jet, Diablo, Superchips and even SCT has them. These like you pointed out are built to...
