Got 6 new Motorcraft cop's shipped for $140. Ebay. Im going to replace all the cop's on the bitch side (driver's) and end up replacing 2 on the passenger side. Hopefully i can successfully salvage 2 older cop's until they too get replaced.

Trans bangs into reverse, barking the tires in that direction, then bangs into 1st... Also, shifting is really sloppy... Get some mild hesitation around 2500 rpm in 4th. Can't figure out if it's COP's dieing or shifting solenoid???? Got a good walk through for that solenoid change?

No check engine light. Never seen the E. Only when I'm parked it says P. I have not but heard about the solenoid being an issue. Would like to know more about that.

Have had a few issues for a while now. 02' LS 3.9 v8 Sport w/ Select Shift 1) From dead stop, in select shift mode (2nd gear is default starting gear for this car). Punch gas, car downshifts to 1st then immediately to reverse! Then up-shifts out of reverse after alarming the crap out of me...

Fuel filter, fuel filter, fuel filter! She now performs like she did when I first laid eyes on her! That girl was thirsty and my dumba$$ was making her drink through a pin hole.

Feck those clips! But a very small flat blade screw driver to help guide the clips made it easy. Man, the tank side of that old fuel filter was black. Thanks for the help.

Yep, having the same problem. Seems like, other than at idle, it happens when accelerating in the low band of 4th gear. I've changed plugs and tested coil packs. This was not brought on by a valve cover gasket failure. It just gradually materialized and has progressively gotten more noticeable...
