where to get cooling fan motor

I'm reviving this thread after getting my Mark out of winter storage. I'm still wondering what to do about being one wire short. My fan motor has two wires, not three. I can find no two wire replacement.

For Sale '96 Mark VIII factory shop manual. FREE

Includes vacuum/electrical manual. And the big main repair manual of course. I no longer have a '96 and don't plan on buying another. You can have it. Just don't take it to resell. That's being an ass. You need to have a '96. It's beat up. The cover is missing. It's all there though. Let me...

where to get cooling fan motor

Thank you for the replies! Jeez, my email notifications went to junk. So finally, I'm back. So does it matter that my fan motor only has two wires and the suggested replacements have 3? What do I do with the extra wire? If I'm splicing in a new connector, I will be one wire short. Oh, and after...

where to get cooling fan motor

I hope I can get some help! My 98 LSC had a burnt wiring connector to the radiator fan. I've tried cleaning it up and it works intermediately. Sometimes I can wiggle the plug and it will start to run. I read info from an ebay seller (who has the wrong connector) that I need a new fan motor or a...

I'm back with a new Mark VIII

I guess one thing I'm struggling with is modifying the exhaust when the existing exhaust is still in very good shape. Opinions?

I'm back with a new Mark VIII

Update: New tires have been installed. New center caps. I found some aftermarket ones on eBay with gold Lincoln emblems. I like them. I talked to a detailer and she knows someone who does bodywork in the side. He used to do it full time. He is going to fix some minor rust. It won't be perfect...

I'm back with a new Mark VIII

Latest update : Valve cover set is done. New spark plugs. New coil boots. No codes and it runs fine. I also replaced all the brake pads and rotors. I made an ametuer mistake by bumping off an inside pad while installing the caliper and picking it up and reinstalling it backwards. Yes, they fit...

I'm back with a new Mark VIII

The latest is that I found oil in the plug wells. So now I'm doing new spark plugs and the valve cover gasket set. The driver's side cover will not clear the brake booster. I'll have to raise the motor on that side to clear it.

I'm missing one chrome center cap for ten spoke directional rim. '98 LSC CE. Anybody got one or know where I can get one?

I'm back with a new Mark VIII

Nope. It was just a loose ground wire. I think I got it. I might need a new plug. This one seems kinda loose. The fan runs now. I changed the oil and the air filter. Two screws were missing in the air box. I added one more. Live data seems to be improving. I don't think there's really anything...

I'm back with a new Mark VIII

An update : The A/C needed charging but even after that, the fan doesn't come on with the A/C on high. I let it idle for quite awhile and revved the engine long enough to get the engine temp to rise to 240. Still the fan didn't come on. I did a test drive and checked live data. LTFT on one...

I'm back with a new Mark VIII

I haven't noticed the fan coming on. Should it come on if the a/c is on high?

I'm back with a new Mark VIII

Hello all, I burned a valve or something like that to cause a cylinder to go dead on my '96. So I gave it to a friend. It now sits in his shed waiting for him to find and install an engine. Personally I don't think it's worth the trouble with well over 200,000 on the clock. But now I bought...

    Misfire problem

Do I have to tear it apart to get the IMRCs or can I just remove the actuators? I actually have another set of '96 IMRCs

    Misfire problem

I'm not fixing it. It's a '96. Any input on what parts I should remove to sell would be appreciated

    Well are you in MN?

    Misfire problem

Pretty sure not. I wonder what I might learn that would be of any value. What could be wrong that wouldn't require the removal of the head?

    Misfire problem

I don't have a tester but I think I can rig something up with my compression tester and get compressed air into the cylinder.
