Welcome to LVC fellow KCer =D. I'm not sure on the difference between the premium and basic models since they both have the chrome on the bumpers. But does yours have the 6disc in dash cd changer/select shift/sun roof/etc. ? I don't believe the basic model has these.

Friend had this issue when he installed his dvd/screen. All it was, was an RCA rubbing against something or other and causing the feedback. Not sure if you have checked that or not but it's worth a shot.

63 miles is taking you about 6 gallons of gas *rough conversions* So your getting between 9.5 and 11.0 miles per gallon... that is definately low, a lot here get about 14-15 city/ 17-19 highway.. but others, like myself with a 01 v8 sport get 19 city 22 highway... Do a search on gas...
