This was my wife's daily driver for almost 10 years.
184,xxx miles, transmission is dead the car won't even move...both front door need window regulators, has almost brand new front tires.
Located Corydon, IN
Update, stuck a scope in the front o2 bung and looked at the inside of the cats...DS one was screwed, so new coils and 2 gutted cats later and we're back in business.
Mileage is much better than ever before, best I ever did on a highway trip was about 24...Saw 27 on the highway the other...
Well i did look at the maf and it's very clean inside but i didn't unplug and drive it.
Btw today was the 1st time i drove it completely cold, and while it definitely doesn't run correct cold it gets way worse as it gets warm.
Pulled o2's no change...i had 4 new coils sitting around, threw them on no way change, still going to order the other 4, but don't really think that's the problem...anyone know the fuel pressure specs? Any other ideas?
I will not just throw parts at it without testing...as i said it doesn't miss it runs smooth just no power, i can unhooked each coil with the rpms held up and each is definitely working
1st off I'm trying to figure out what the fuel pressure should be (i work on gm's, i kinda wish i had never bought this ford) i can't find an actual spec anywhere, but it's right at 30 at idle and goes up to 40 when you rev it in park or throttle it going down the road.
The car will barely...
I've seen it, but I kinda have a problem with that...I mean they made way to many regular regals to do that stuff to a real turbo car, but whatever it's his car.
Well I got mine back together yesterday, just did the upper chains...I might get rid of it before I tackle the main chains damn thing looks like a nightmare down there.
If you marked them and lined them back up to where the chains where before I see that as being the wrong thing to do because the old chains were stretched and the tensioner was out of wack...I did mine yesterday and I turned the motor over to where the flats were up just like when you would use...
Way too much to type up again, but here is most of the info. http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/general-turbo-buick-tech/331383-made-few-pulls-dyno-vids.html
At 1st I thought it might be a rod knock, but when I opened the hood and listened close I could tell it's not that low in the motor and it's coming from the front.
Mine is making a noise that's coming from the front of the motor, I noticed it when I took it to the ATM and rolled the window down...Didn't even notice it when the windows were up.
