The system airs up within 30-45 seconds after starting the car in the morning. We tried the soap & water test on the first replacement strut and couldn't find any leaks on the exterior of the bag - my friend thought maybe it was something internal. I haven't sent it back to see if it will be...
The struts on my '97 base were leaking and getting worse every day so I got 2 new Strutmaster struts w/ new O-rings and had them installed by a friend that is a tech at a local Lincoln dealer for ~15 years. The driver side strut is great - just like new.
But while my friend was driving back...
I already got another one... A '97 base in Cordovan. I was using the Toreador for back & forth to work driving and the Cordovan for around town so the Cordovan only had 30K miles - but now that I drive it every day it's already up to 50K :(
You call that totaled??
You call that totaled? How 'bout my poor old Red #1 sittin' in the driveway... Wish I could cobble it together enough to drive it 'til it dies - it ran so good... Still does - cranks right up every time, ice cold A/C... But something got smashed by that back driver air...
