I've been under the car. There are two ends to the linkage, one by the shifter and one on top of the trans. Which end are we talking about. The one on top of the trans is not that easy to see as the trans is in the way.
More information would be necessary to give you a correct answer. The diameter would be a big help. Width and number of spokes would really get a good chance of getting a correct answer.
So it seems my slave cylinder/release bearing decided to fail yesterday. I ordered a clutch kit and master cylinder but can't seem to find the pilot bearing. Does the car have one?
Changed the oil in the transmission. Getrag 221. For reference the drain plug and fill plug are 17mm, drain on the bottom and fill on the passenger side. Anyone who has this transmission should check the fluid annually as mine was down about 1 litre and it takes 1.1! I couldn't believe it...
Better? I fixed it, yes the Tbird was built in Lorain, I was mainly referring to the manual transmission, rear wheel drive and independent rear suspension. They also are both v6 engines with similar horsepower (not torque though). Also 4 wheel disc brakes and ABS.
You might have to change the flywheel as it may have been updated. Talk to rockauto and see what they say. It is a dual mass flywheel so it is probably good idea to change it as it may be original.
So the stock radio stopped working again. I fixed it once before but this time I can't figure out where this part goes? It is hard to see but it is a little white plastic screw.
