Cheapo route...meaning under $100. Springs are enticing...but not yet. I've been to Eddie's site - definitely a good one.
One way I've been guessing its the bag (or bags) is that after it is dropped - I start the car and the compressor begins pumping the car up. As it gets near ride...
I'm going the cheapo route for this first round. My total expense for the used struts will be well below that of a coil over change.
Car has the intermittent nose drop every now and then. Sometimes, it will be good for days - other times the front will be slammed in like 15 minutes.
Is...
I'm getting ready to change out the air struts on my '95 - I was just wondering if all air struts are interchangeable. Will a set of fronts from a '96 work on my '95?
Thanks for any help you guys can provide!

Hi guys, I'm selling my 1995 Mark VIII, silver with gray leather and 72K original miles. Cars is fun to drive and very comfortable. It has new brakes and is ready to go. Hate to sell it but I need a SUV.
You can see more pics on my website.
Asking $5800 or best offer.
You can email...
Ok...yep, after a night's time - it dropped in the front. Is there a way to isolate which bag it might be? Could it also be a line anywhere - or it's definitely the bag?
I also notice a bit of "clunking noise" coming from the front - especially when I brake to slow down. Could the...
Thanks for the info Strutmasters. Ok, looks like the deal is leaking air bags. I started it up - it shot up to ride height - then I shut the switch off and rode around for awhile. I left the car for a few (maybe 1/2 hour) and then when I went to get back in - the car was noticeably down in...
I have a '95 with 71K miles and I noticed the same problem. After sitting all night, in the morning the front end is slammed to the ground and the back is still in the air. I have not had the car for a long time so all this air-ride suspension stuff is new to me.
Once I get in and start...
Def don't think it's the pump...shifts fine from standstill to drive or reverse from either park or neutral. As stated above - the car has only 63K miles.
I think my next step is to change the fluid and accums - hopefully that will clear up the problem.
PioneerCrazed, to answer your questions:
Car is a stock 96 with 63K and I have not owned it for too long. It appears that the new MLPS did firm up the shifts and made them more accurate according to RPM. However, the WOT throttle issue continues...and I seem to think that it may have been a...
Ok, well I replaced the MLPS - and the result is sort of a mixed bag. The car shifts much better and much more accurately when driven normally with no noticeable slippage. However, it still appears to "search" for the gears when I mash the pedal. If I floor it - it shifts nicely from 1-2...
Where exactly is the MLPS - is it hard to change, and how much does it cost? Is there a write-up anywhere on changing it? What is the function of the MLPS? Thanks for everyone's help!
I'm having a problem where the tranny feels like it's slipping - meaning it will sometimes not go in gear and my revs will shoot up until I take my foot of the gas and wait - and then it will go into gear. It usually happens when I drive it hard as opposed to granny driving.
Is this the...
Car is located in New York - New Windsor/Newburgh area. Let me know if you're interested!
I figured I'd price it conservatively to help move it quick since I have switched my focus to getting my Mustang complete!
Thought there was a lot of people looking to buy! Guess I'll be ebaying it so this is your last chance if you still want it before it goes to the hounds!
Thanks for the compliment!
And yes, I see no issue as to why it wouldn't pass Cal emissions. There are no CEL, and exhaust, etc. are in excellent condition.
Hi, I'm selling my 1996 Mark VIII. The car has only 63k and drives great. Interior is cream leather and it's also in good condition. I have a link to my website where I made a "splash" page showing many pics of the car and describing a litte more about it.
