Don't get me wrong guys. I was just angry. The LS is a hell of a car. And it still drives like new. With starting my engineering job and life setting in I just don't have the time to fix one problem after the other. And I know that eventually the back to back will stop. For a nearly 300k car it...
Yes it does. It's my fault that I'm still going through this. It really is a nice car and it drives great especially for the miles. It's just bad timing. The point I'm at in my life it is very hard to find time to work on anything that breaks and this has been one thing after an other.
I went through hell with the trans and now after replacing all of the plastic shit it still overheats. Goodbye POS. Thanks for all the help everyone. This has been the greatest car forum to work on. Thanks.
I replaced all of the plastic stuff. Time for the bleed and I should be good. I found a cracked hose on the dccv that was the root of my problem. Oh well. Better to be safe than sorry.
There appears to have been a huge leak at the dccv. But I'm sitting here and he car has been running for a long time and no leak nor is it overheating. Any suggestions?
Sadly a lot of my cooling system had been replaced already. I'm just hoping that the overheating didn't over stress the newer parts(I knew the P.O.). Luckily these parts aren't too expensive. I wonder if there are any aluminum versions that won't fail. Hell maybe my senior design project could...
So I have heard. I am getting so sick of this car. What's over in that direction? It's not the thermostat assembly. It's toward the bottom. It is leaking onto the splash guard pretty quickly.
what do you know? After going through hell with the hard shifting, I finally get my beloved car on the road and it pins the temp needle. There is coolant leaking from the right front now too. Any suggestions?
Wow. That's surprising! The only yard with an LS in my area has a V6 which has a different harness. It is still worth it to stop by the yard though and rob some parts. I was able to remove the harness without even touching the exhaust or transmission. I repaired and soldered the wires and shrink...
This post was exactly what I needed. I am going to try to do this tonight after class. My hopes are to repair the harness with it off the car. that will allow me to split it open and perform the repair. It is possible to do pin to pin using the pcm connector. If it is too complicated I will be...
Thanks. I hope that I can reach the connectors without removing anything. If I have to lower the trans how would you suggest doing that? I can't afford anymore bs wasted time
Do you have an electronic version of this manual that I could possibly borrow from you? Also any advice on the part of this harness that is bolted to the back of the engine?
Yeah at this point I'm going to replace the solenoid with warranty, the pcm just came back passed and updated, and replace the harness. Now I just need to know where to begin with removing that harness
