I have a gen 1 v8 and that DCCV (dual climate control valve) can cause problems. I'm guessing your fan is on normal speed and not off until the jet mode kicks in. From what I understand that jet mode is only supposed to kick on when the AC is running (maybe heat too) because it can cause the...
I checked RockAuto. They're out of the aircraft-grade aluminum thermostat housing upgrade, which I was going to recommend (you would find that under the 2000 Jaguar S-type). The motorcraft part listed for the LS V8 thermostat is RT1154 and has the flat bottom, like the second picture.
Hey, I don't know how to fix your problem but I am curious if this is occurring after something was replaced or worked on. Might be worth explaining a little history for the gurus here. Best of luck to you man, I vividly remember the days my LS would overheat and I was always stressed about it.
Oh okay maybe my battery getting low was bad for that 15A fuse. Still don't really understand why it wasn't working when the fuse was testing good. Possibly the fuse was on its way out and it was the issue all along.
Something kind of odd happened though. When I first put the casing back on the...
Would you mind explaining why you think the 5A fuse was the problem? Or linking something with the information? I made the post because I did not find the answer to why this was happening on the forum anywhere.
Checked all my fuses in the trunk. They all have some pretty gnarly corrosion on them but I replaced two that were blown. The 15A for the fuel pump was blown today (it was good previously I swear) as well as the 5A heated mirror fuse. Plugged the relay in, heard it click and the fuel pump...
Hey guys, thank you for the suggestions. I'm noticing a trend, everyone is trying to help me but I am not accepting it very well. My dad tried to help and look what I said about him. I will try to do better from now on.
The battery in this car has died before, so this battery is maybe a year old. Gonna have to push it to a parts store because it cranks but won't start. Definitely appreciate the advice, I will have more time to work on the car next week and the mega fuse is coming in Tuesday.
I haven't charged...
When the car is fully stopped in drive the headlights will dim slightly then come back on really fast in a strobe pattern. Happens on the tachometer light too. Thinking this is related to my electrical/water damage problem but hoping I don't need to replace the F.E.M.
Hmm looks like other people have issues with leaks around the tail lights from what I'm reading. Or it could be the moonroof drain tubes. Will keep looking since those sound like better places for water to get through. With the amount of water that gets into the trunk I doubt it's that tiny seal...
There definitely has been water sitting in the trunk. For the battery I have one hole side plugged with silicone and the other side connected to the gas vent hose with a little adapter held in place by silicone. I am going to pull the fabric off and try to find the water leak. It sounds like...
Thanks joegr. I want this car to keep going for a bit. I have been so proud of what I've learned and fixed because of this forum. The bypass was what got hooked up in the dark after looking at the diagram. My dad truly does want to help but.. He says you're all from India, and I cannot make him...
Well the car was not cranking over very well so idk could be the battery. Tested 11.47 last night so it will be needing a charge soon
This is how the jumper wire was hooked up
