I think I'm going to install an oil pressure gauge. I've been reading about mechanical vs electrical. I Can't even find an electrical one, but anyway, What are the real everyday chances of the nylon line bursting and oil coming in the car? Thanks alm

    Power Steering Pressure Switch

Not sure Probably as old as the car I took it apart last summer and cleaned it. I guess it's time to do the test when the car is warm, by unplugging it. It idles pretty good though, a little high, but haven't noticed any surging really

    Power Steering Pressure Switch

Does anyone know where they are? If I sit at a light and turn wheel even a little it drops the idle so low it causes the oil pressure light to come on. Maybe it's the pump but I don't hear any loud noises from the pump or anything, and I think it feels OK. Or is it time for pump replacement?

    How many cats?

Does anyone know how many catalytic converters came standard on the 1991 LSC? My intermediate pipe broke and while it was on the hoist the mechanic let me poke around underneath I saw 4, 2 right after the headers, and 2 more after the H. That whole section looked pretty rough, so I figured I...

    Window Motor Replacement

Hey everybody, my buddy came back from the wreckers with 2 pulled window motors. My question is are these window motors interchangeable between ford/lincoln models. I looked for pictures of Mark VII window motors and all I see is with the round style motor, the ones he got me are kind of flat...

    91 LSC, bigger air intake.

OK I'm all ears I'll stick with stock sd system and tb. What else do I do. I'm thinking cold air to start, what else? I'm not looking for a superfast streetrod, just some moderate gains. What is stock horsepower, around 225? I'm shooting for 250 or so, and not spending gobs of money. Thanks

    91 LSC, bigger air intake.

I see lots of stuff about upgrading to mass air, but dont' think I want to change sd system. Do they make a larger bore sd intake? I saw a 70 mm mas air for sale on ebay, but don't know if I want to mess around with the wires to change to mass air. Frail lincoln wires, I'm afraid the computer...

    Sound Problems 86 MarkVII

There are 3 harness adapters available at crutchfield for stereo installation. One is for the back of the new stereo, another for an amp bypass, and the third is an amp integration. The integration unit has knobs that allow you to turn down amplification to taste so you don't blow up speakers.

Here we go, First Problem creeps up

Ok, I'll check the oil pressure sensor. But first, where is it located? My haynes manual doesn't mention anything about it. Also the bearings you are talking about, oil pump?, cams?

Here we go, First Problem creeps up

After driving my 91 Mark VII around and burning up a bit of rubber something has started to happen. My oil pressure light starts blinking at idle! This only happens when engine is in normal operating temperature, and at idle at stop lights, signs etc. If I turn the steering wheel the rpms drop...

Well I've been reading about lincolns for some time and decided to jump in and get one because I couldn't find a better car for the price. I picked it up yesterday, a nice grey 1991 Mark VII with 210,000 km's for only $1800 Canadian dollars certified! It's in real decent shape, with some...
