General Description
This started out as a bone-stock Town Car which I purchased in April 2009. It still had the original plugs and wires on the engine, and the original fuel filter. It ran like crap. After around $1,000 in tune up work, which I performed in my garage, it runs like brand new. It has the original black paint, as well as the original vinyl top and black upholsery. Then the modifications began...
1. I found a set of 15x8 alloys in the junkyard, and installed them with 265x50/R15 tires in the front and 245x60/R15 tires in the rear.
2. I painted the grey insert in the grille black to match the car
3. I removed the Lincoln emblem from the hood, for fear of it being stolen, and replaced it with a genuine Mack bulldog.
4. The single exhaust was ditched for dual sidepipes with a short crossover pipe.
5. A mahogany Grant steering wheel was installed, because the stock wheel was bent.
6. A set of Edelbrock shocks and limousine coil springs were installed in the rear to firm up the suspension
7. A set of Edelbrock shocks were installed in the front, now waiting to install a set of Eaton Detroit 2" drop coils.
