0-60 4:10 style

So, what's it like cruising on the Interstate?
What's your RPM at 80mph in 5th gear?

65MPH is at 2450rpm, that I looked at and remember. 80 should be around 3000rpm but didn't verify that. I haven't done a lot of freeway driving yet as I'm still letting them break in.

Do you remember what my spreadsheet said? I think I calculated up to 80 mph iirc.

Good run. Come down here and we will log it to see what your 0-60 is if you want to know specifically. You know you want to come down here this weekend anyways.
 
uhhh... did it shift into 3rd before 60? like at or around...

That is way close to 6 seconds 0 - 60! Probably to be under 6 when you launch it. That's a full second faster than stock! How does it feel to 100?
We need track times NOW!!!!! :p That's awesome man.
 
That thing is nasty!
Of coarse these things have to happen when I'm over seas.... gears.... turbo.... I need to get back to the states.
 
I bet you think you're cool now huh. VERY nice, from the vid traction doesn't really seem to be a problem. Can you stage it at all or does it just spin?

with 410 gears... is your car limited to like 118 mph or what?


im just used to my gtp shiftin into 2nd at 53 and 3rd at 94... i know you guys have an extra gear.. but still just nuts.

On stock gearing my 14.3 pass would indicate breaking 6.0seconds say 5.8-5.9. Now I'm quessing 5.5ish with the right launch.

The LS sits nicely on the rear tires as we all know so traction is quite good even after the gear swap. I am a little surprized how good thou I will say. If I don't prevoke the wheel spin ofter a idle launch will barely spin them or just a little errrr and gone. Last night was 32degrees out and a slam to the floor on certain surfaces would get some spinning and kick out but still pretty good pull out. As you can see if held back and forced she'll spin well...but still not a sit and spin, she's hard to hold back actually and when let go spinning she hooks pretty nicely.

Haven't really high speed tested yet.

Thing about our 5speeds is the extra gear is 1st not 5th. 3rd is identically geared as my 2nd in my MarkVIII with 1.55. As is 4th to 3rd being the 1 to 1 gear. Overdrive is similar. Thats why she ratchets though the gears so quickly down at the low speeds and why I have been pumped to get her done I knew it would be kinda wicked. Like a fast geared manual without have to let off and shift.
