01 Lincoln ls V8 only when holding speed??????

Thanks to all who helped with comments to get my ls back going...Now she runs and drives great BUT when holding a consistent speed it is jerky or entermiting like...but on the gas smooth development smooth..Only while holding speed???????what do you think guys????

what exactly is jerking. is the wheel jerking, does it seems like its miss firing. we need more info.

Oh sorry for the lack of info..it's like a misfire/jerk..skip kinda deal...but I don't notice a skip during acceleration..has a slight, rough idle barly noticeable but rpm don't fluctuate or jump at idle...??

Would you call it bucking? Read the stickied posts. Sounds like failing coils. Everyone's case is different. Some have low RPM issues, some have high, or mid, whatever. The most common symptom is bucking when cruising up slight inclines.

100% sounds like you'll need to replace your coils while your at it do the gaskets and plugs.

Exactly. You posted this, so you didn't read any of the many threads about it. Mainly what you need to know is that you need to replace all of the coils, and all of the plugs, at the same time. If you find oil in any of the plug wells, then you need to replace the valve cover gaskets. If you don't, then no need to replace the gaskets.

and get the motorcraft coils they are more money but they are worth it. and by no means by them cheap ebay coils

I want to thanks you guys for all the help i do search and read,i try to take in as much info as i can..But new threads keeps fourms alive lol....Well i found the missfire,skip at a steady speed.Turns out one of the plugs go dropped or hit and almost closed up the gap completely causing it to miss,put all new plugs, fuel filter and bammm running like a champ...

ohh p,s when i hit the cruise control nothing happens,the dash light dont even light up signaling its been activated where do you start to diagnose the problem...on the search i go...
