My 01 V8 has 140,000 miles on all original cooling parts except degas bottle. Are there any metal parts from Jaguar besides the thermostat housing and fill cap piece that anyone knows about? Want to replace with as many metal parts as possible. I bought the car with 29,000 miles on it so am pretty sure the timing chain tensioners are original and plan on replacing them at the same time. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks,
Ben Hess

That's all that I know of. Apparently your original plastic parts made it fifteen years. Are you really that worried about doing it again at the thirty year mark?

Although I've had my 55 Crown Victoria for 57 years I don't think I will have the LS for another 15. That would make me 90 and they probably wouldn't let me drive it if it was still around. Thanks for the reply.

Hey,those were nice cars! My older brother had a friend who owned one(black on white) with power windows and I don't know what else. That was in 1964.I believe it had the 312 engine.Might've been 292 though. don-ohio :)^)

312 from the factory started with the '56 model year. I put one in my '54 Customline. Then I put on a pair of Holleys. And then a Paxton. Fun days. Then I bought a '64 Custom, new, with a 427-T and a four speed.

Yep! Gas was high enough octane right out of the pump.Blue Sunoco if you wanted to race that night. The 64 Galaxie was a beautiful car when chromed up. I really liked the 63 the best, though. I was too young for Viet Nam until 1971,so fun days for sure! don-ohio :)^)
