02 LS V8 - Phone Button/Mic

Question..

I remember seeing a thread somewhere regarding this topic..(I think)...but does anyone know what the phone button (mute button) is for? or what the mic is for? or...does anyone know how I can activate this..

I use the phone button(mute button) as that.... a mute button. Mine will mute the radio when I push it. I didn't activate or anything, it was just like that. As for the mic I have no idea. I don't think I have a mic anywhere.

I second that it is just a mute button, I guess our socity is so hung up on car / cell phones they thought that would be a good icon to put on it. Push this button and mute the stereo while you are on the phone and driving in traffic a 80+ MPH.
