03 and up tailights

I have a 2000 ls and I am new to the forum.. I was wondering if the newer style tailights (clear/red) would fit my car. Are they shaped different ?

IIRC the outer lenses will fit, but they're smooth (no ridges like 00-02). The inner lenses won't fit because of the redesign of the trunk lid, & I think they're just reflectors. You could always swap the whole trunk lid, but I'm not sure how economically feasible that is right now. FYI, the Japan-only taillights were Gen 1 but had the same two-tone color scheme as the Gen 2 tails. Ultra rare to find though
