03 Hid ???

Okay I have bin trying to upgrade my 00 to 03+ hid setup. I don't want to confuse anyone but this might not come out right! I have 2 passanger hid setups. I just bought the other side non hid housing that I needed. Will I be able to put the hid setup into the non hid housing? Also dose anyone have a bumper support from an 03 for sale?

I have an 03 bumper support I'll sell for $150 shipped. I bought it thinking I was going to do this mod and never did. Let me know if you are interested.

I am intrested in the support. I just want to get the headlights operational first! Are you familar enought to know if I will be able to bolt the ballast and bulb onto the non hid setup?

I guess I should have cleared this up more I don't have the non hid setup in front of me to compare, yet. I just want to know if they use the same housings?

Correct me if I am wrong, but it sounds like you are trying to install after market HID lights and ballast in the stock housings. The Factory HID come complete in the housing for 03+ LSs. If you are going with the Factory setup, you will need Ken's support bracket. If you want to use any 03+ headlight housing, you will need Ken's support bracket.

I am trying to upgrade to the 03 headlight. I do understand that i will need the bumper support to install the newer headlight. My question is a non hid housing the same as a hid headlight housing?

I had them both side by side, when I replaced the non HID with the Factory HID setup. From the outside they look the same. The difference is that the HID unit has the ballast inside the unit. The other difference is that the HID unit has a different reflector setup to match the HID output.I did not disassemble the unit to see if there is room or provision for the Ballast in the non HID unit. Of the after market HID kits I have seen, I would venture that the ballasts will have to be secured outside of the non HID headlight unit.
