So I'm currently stranded waiting on a ride bc my 03' LS V8 won't start. This happens occasionally, but after few minutes it always starts. This time it's been several hours. No PATS code flashing. No errors on the dash. All lights come on, everything works as normal, the battery is nearly new. There's essentially just no response from the starter. Lately there has been some slight hesitation when cranking almost as if the battery were dead, but its definitely not.

Could be the starter then.
There are three major terminals on the starter. Measure from the "B" terminal to ground while the key is turned to start. This terminal should have 12V on it all the time. If not, then there a a cable or major fuse problem. Measure from the "S" terminal to ground while the key is turned to start. This terminal should have 12V on it when the key is turned to start. If not, then you have a wring or a starter relay (under hood fuse box) problem. If both readings were 12V, then your starter is the problem. You could try tapping it with a hammer a few times to see it that would get it to work long enough to start the car to get it somewhere that you can change the starter out.
