New to sign up on the forum but I've been trolling around for a year here. Finally having some problems with the cooling issues. Ready to order all new plastic and drop my car off to a local lincoln - ford tech who left to be a diesel mechanic at my job. He is doing work on the side at his shop at home. It has sat for a week now the damn thing won't start. Battery fully charged. It just makes a humming/blowing sound from the engine when I turn the key over. Any thoughts on not starting up?......

Since a lot have been described sounds in ways that I wouldn't expect, a little more detail is needed. Look under the hood at the belt while someone tries to start it. Does the belt move?
Are you sure the battery is good and fully charged. Use a volt meter on the battery while someone tries to start it. If it goes below 9V, your problem could be the battery.

Don't have a volt meter. I thought it may be the battery too since it sat for a week. I charged it for about 5 hours still the same. I'm at work now so I'll try it again tomorrow and have my wife watch the belt. If I can, I'll post an audio file too.
