i wonder how it would look with less but larger LEDS, i love this about the newer audis.

ya...i wish i could find those larger leds....at night the ones i have really show well though

oh ic....hmm to tell ya the truth i think there the same ones...its just at night they look bigger cause the glare...thats how mine look at night...ill post pic tonight

Nice. They do look thin but it could be the visual effect you say and could just be the same.

I saw kleen's ls in person, the led's look pretty sweet.

Hey 04ls8u, where did u get the LED strips from? I have been wanting to do something like that for sometime but i didnt want the brightness of the LED strips to be to brightso u cant see the angel eyes. and is there a certain brightness i need to look for when buying the strips

I wish they would make the fogs with a single high power led....like my fenix tk11 flashlight.

Mine uses a 6 watt led...rated at 280 lumens and the throw is very far. Anyone who knows about flashlights can tell you that 280 lumens is freakin bright...more than most surefires.

Supposedly the fogs from vleds are 400lumens but theres no way because my flashlight is brighter.

They could use this led right here:
http://www.cree.com/products/xlamp_xpg.asp

Put two of them in a bulb and thats almost 1000 lumens.

You could put one facing forward, and two or three smaller cree leds on the sides to get full 360 degree light.

But the reason the bulbs from vleds dont have any throw is because theres too many low power leds. Just like flashlights you need a high power led to get throw. Also a reflector to help project the light forward.

maybe that would work also.

Im sure someone can come up with a hack job and make them fit.

And thats made to run off a 12v system already. So i supposed you could do some cutting and make a mount, throw those in there and splice some adapter to make it connect.

Thanks for mentioning LEDs.. I was bored and realized I could be working on my LED tails.. lol

I think a piece of square stock with two ear to hook it to the unit will allow it to mount to the LSE 1st Gen bumper I have.. Making me think man.. lol
