1.3 million miles

high milage

My 99 Town Car has 220K with no major work, just fluid changes, brakes, plugs and tires. I did replace the intake but she is still running on the original O2 sensors. Looks drives and runs like new.

I sold my last TC The 93 at 285k and it drove away only thing wrong up until then was the tranny started to slip and that was my fault got stuck in the snow cause thy don't plow my road till two days after the snow fall and I didnt want to wait for a tow a lot of forward and reverse

well i'd hope with 1.3million miles the engine and tranny have been rebuilt..my old 1990 towncar had 300,000 on it, and leaked oil from everywhere..every $25 in gas i had to add 1quart of oil

mine leaked no oil and ate about 3/4 of a quart every oil change and it had 282k last oil change i did

I have a 86 mark VII LSC, with 351,000 miles, and it is the original engine and trans (NEVER rebuilt)-does not leak, and is very clean and still pretty tight, the suspension is not air anymore, but other than that, no smoking or engine noises, never overheated, and since I could put full synthetic in it, I have. That, however, is less than 1/3 the miles on that lincoln-pretty amazing that it is still roadworthy, IMO.
