Hey guys... i was wondering what kind of quarter mile time you guys have been getting. I have a 98 LSC with maf, cat back, colder plugs and SCT xcal tune and i was hoping to maybe get into the 14's this fall. I have heard mixed things about the gen 2s; some people seem to not be able to break them into the 14s even with mods, yet my buddy up in NH said his gen2 ran a 14.8 bone stock in 60 degree weather. Just wonding what 1/4 miles you guys have been runnin with what mods so i can maybe get an idea what i'll be doing.

I ran 14.7 in crappy humid weather... But then again... I have a gen1. From what you have listed.. It seems with optimal or close to optimal conditions you should break 14's no problem.

I hit a 14.1 w/ a 2.0 60' foot with ram air, cutouts and a 3500 stall

I ran 14.7 @ 97.7 bone stock.

I ran 14.7 @ 102 after exhaust and shift kit.

My car is a 94.

My '93 went 14.5 first outing at the track on street tires. But it had a chip, gears and exhaust. :steering

My brother picked up another Mark 8 few weeks ago,it's a 98 LSC ivory pearl collector's edition with 65K miles bone stock. We took it to the track last weekend and it run 15.1 @ 93.I think his 98 black one run 15.1 too when it was stock and 14.4 with 4.10 rear end and UD pulleys. You should hit 14's no problems.I'd say with your mods you should hit atleast mid 14's.
Good luck:D .

15.7-8 all day, track temp 90 and humid
storm rolled in and temp dropped to 70 ran a 15.2
all bone stock
98 LSC

stock my car ran 15.1 all day. with a little slap in the ass she broke 14s

14.66@98 stock 82 degrees/75% humidity

14.66@98 after jmod 97 degrees/60% humidity

it was funny seeing the timeslips damn near identical but 1 month apart.

16.32 @ 87.225, stock at 8000ft density altitude (5315' track altitude at Albuquerque national slip-n-slide.) We'll see what 4.10s and limited slip will do for it in about 2 weeks.
