Hey what's up guys?

Like 3 days ago I wanted to know how my car mpg is doing so I put exactly 10 gallons on the tank, then I reset trip A mileage option and today the light came out with 133.5 miles. If I did the math well that's 13.5 mpg.

Is this the accurate way to know the mpg? Because 13.5 for v6 is no way normal.

NOTE: This miles are on city, too many stops and red lights.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance!

Fill your tank all the way up, reset the trip, drive till its low, fill it all the way back up, divide how many gallons it took to fill it up from how many miles you drove.

^ this is the proper way to calculate this.

and with stop and go city driving, that's not totally unreasonable...

Driving around in Miami sucks. Calculate your mileage the proper way and see what it is. You might not be far off for all that city driving in season....

occasionally set your cruise control and see if rpm's go down. if they do, stop pressing the accelertor so hard bc its causing you to either stay in a lower gear or causing your TCC to engage/disengage
