I am going to buy 17X9 weld Mustang wheels for my Mark VIII. I am in the process of building a Tubular K-member so I will have more room for the TT. My question for those of you that 17"cobra R's with 255X45X17 tires or larger on a lowered car. Would you want to see the rim moved in or out for more clearence? At this point of conctruction I can move it either direction.
Thanks for your input .

Only use the brakes to stop and get gas.

not exactly cobra R's, but my 17" GT wheels, the fronts look good with the 245/45/17 on them. they stick out just right. with 275/40/17 in the rear, they stick out a tad too far for my liking. the stock offset on these wheels is +24, i'd proably mill a little off the rear wheels to bring them in a bit.. not too far though, they fill out the rear nicely.
FWIW my car is lowered

I already fixed the rear I could get 295X60X15 in back. I have only run stock wheels in front so I thought I would ask if there were any clearance issues. It is easy to fix before I build the control arm.

Can get 17" cobra "R" wheels for $450 (chrome wheels) Is this a good deel?

Yes, I guess it depends on if its the mark viii bolt pattern, if not, then you can sell them to some1 who has the sn95 bp..

If they dont know what the Mark VIII pattern is then ask if it fits a T-Bird, they share the same as the Mark VIII.
