What's up guys? Last winter my grandfather had passed away and left our family a 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang Convertible in the color Poppy Red, I believe. On further inspection of the car, I found that there is rust on the two doors and on the hood about a quarter in size each, maybe slightly larger. There is also a dent in the rear right quarter panel of the car. My questions...

Is this single stage paint?
How much does it cost to install a new quarter panel skin?
How much would it cost to repaint the hood, doors and quarter panel?
Would it be worth just getting the entire car resprayed?

Any insight as far as cost etc. would be greatly appreciated. I live in New Jersey also if you have any other suggestions.

Is this single stage paint?
Yes it is

Alot. The parts are cheap, the labor is insane (at least around here anyway)

How much would it cost to repaint the hood, doors and quarter panel?
Don't half ass a classic, if you're gonna paint that much do the whole thing

Would it be worth just getting the entire car resprayed?
Yes, and not a maaco job either!

You need to look under the car...are the floors solid...frame rails not rusty....look in the trunk pull out the mat and check were the panel meets the trunk by the rear frame rails any rust ?
Look under the hood were the fenders bolt on look for rust and meatel starting to come apart were the shock towers are spot welded, open the doors and look were the weather seals are at the bottom of the door look for rust.
The more rust you have the more it will cost to fix it right.
Rust never sleeps if you dont fix it it wil be back I assume because its granddads car you looking to keep it right ?

Take some pics
