1987 Thunderbird Turbocoupe

Located in Houston, TX. I'm the second owner. 195k miles 50k on rebuild. New power windows, 5-speed trans, runs and drives good. The turbo is a little weak and could use a rebuild. Adjustable suspension still works great. Needs tires (from sitting) , door panels, and a/c needs to be checked. Check craigslist houston under 1987 Thunderbird. $1600

That really makes me miss mine. Had a black 87 TC. Car was a blast with the minor mods I had (T3, exhaust, boost controller).

decent car, not to insult you but it's only worth about 500.00. a turbo is about 800.00- 1000.00, and with the other problems.... I know these cars like the back of my hand. good luck though you might get lucky. here's a pic of mine before and after the jackass that hit it ran the red light.

Last time I checked, even a T3/04 turbo isn't $800, let alone a stock unit. I got my T3 with a new cartridge for $200.

you get what you pay for. the car isn't worth 500.00 period. it has a lot of issues. i bought mine for 1800 back in 94.

Man, I'd love to have that car. I miss my '87 and '88 TC's. Both were 5-speeds and both were amazing cars. Unfortunately, I wrecked the '88 and sold the '87 years ago. I'd say that car is worth $1K. Door panels will be a lot of fun to locate. I've still got some of the interior parts from my '88 in the barn. I've still got the door panels but they're black. Anyway, good luck selling it. These are wonderful cars and becoming harder to find by the minute. The rarity alone is worth something.
