Hello Everyone,
I am new to the LSC and I have just purchased a stolen/recovery that has had the front and rear seats stolen, as well as the radio.
It is tagged as an SE
The car is clean and solid,
What can I look for to identify it as a SE ??, where can I get info ?, performance tips ?

and any help on the seats ?

Thanks

For specifications on that particular year, make, and model see: http://thelincolnmarkviiclub.org/sp...lEdition/1991SpecialEditionSpecifications.pdf

Most of the Lincoln Forums can give you details about identification. The very first thing to look for is the badging and monocromatic, body color paint covering MOST of the former chrome colored trim.

Also see: http://www.thelincolnmarkviiclub.org/specifications/specialEdition/specialEdition.pdf

Yep I have Seats. Think they are decent will look this weekend.

My brother kinda wanted them for his AMX but not sure.

So who said they had seats ???
Thanks for the link, it looks like it's a SE, strong and clean so far
Found a couple of ppl with seats, so far nothing "good" , these things are not easy to find in good shape

Where's Clare?

You're welcome.

That depends; which Clare do you live in?
Clare, IA
Clare, MI
Clare, IL
Clare, IN
Clare, KS
Clare, KY
Clare, LA
Clare, NY
Clare, OH
There's GOT to be a junk yard near one of these Clare's. Normally, when we need to replace a LARGE item in our cars, we search the local yards on a regular basis until one comes in.

Your other choice is recovering the seats. This can be done for $25.00 with Target brand seat covers or $1200.00 hand stitched leather.

Please do, post them here or email me @ keithrobert2002@yahoo.com
and its Clare , MI
I have searched the locals, even had family all over the state look for them, found sets that need recovering, but I am hoping for a set that needs little work and power works also, not asking much eh...?
Thanks
Keith

Just took theses pics on Sunday. The car was in our barn for almost 5yrs but is now outside to get stripped and then junked. I made no effert to clean the seats they are exactly as you see them. I think they would clean up decent.

Looks like you need these too.

1990 models had a power antenna switch like seen here. 1991 they got rid of the switch so technically that piece is wrong for your car, but who would know.

:D Old fart Lincoln Mark VII Collectors ... like me. :D

Here's a 1992 radio instrument cluster in my 1990.

1990 and 1991 are ~supposed~ to have the manual switch and 1992 is switchless.

Switchless looks better,
I will get an after market stereo so the power antenna switch will not be needed ...???
And are their any quick and cheap performance tweaks for these things ?
225hp and 3900lbs sounds like they need a little help, I imagine a cold air kit and underdrive pulleys to start, what about chipping it ? does that mess with any of the control modules or cause problems ?

No. (and don't cut any wires)
And are their any quick and cheap performance tweaks for these things ?
Yup.

A waste of money on a luxury sport coupe with ECCIV.
does that mess with any of the control modules or cause problems ?

Yes and no.

Most of the questions that you've asked have been covered in this forum. Look through the topics or use the SEARCH (http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/search.php?) feature for quick reference. If you don't find what you need after reading through all of the results, then ask here.

If you try to turn your luxury sport coupe into a Mustang, you're going to have problems. If you follow some of the proven articles and posts for our cars, you're gonna have a ball.

Theres a reason I didn't buy a stang, I have loved these things since I saw them new.
Just trying to maximize efficiency for a 3900 lb car, thats what I meant by tweaks.
Some things you mess with some you dont, I guess I am just trying to save a few steps, I will browse the forums

Thanks guys

You're welcome Bro.

We'll help where we can.

before you go "tweek'n" be sure that all the parts are in good condition, like the trans.throttle bushing and the fluid in it.The best bang for the buck would be a set of gears for the rear end.3:55's or 3:73.

Thanks for the lead 02LSC, but i bought a functional set from ohio for including shipping pretty cheap and all I have to deal with is the lower bolster on the drivers seat, rears are like new.
Still need dash parts tho...going to go with switchless, any help ?
