1992 Eldorado Engine VS 1993 Northstar

I've had some mechanics swear by the regular 4.9 engine is the 92 eldorados,
they say it is more reliable, easiler to work on etc..
Anyone have any insights on this motor compared to the Northstar?

Okay.The 4.9 may be easier to work on only because its a far simpler engine.But reliability?Please.The Northstar in one of the most technologically advanced engines on he planet and one of the most reliable you can get in a car.It doesn't get much better than a Northstar.Take it from a guy who has owned five of them.
