Hi, i was wondering i could maybe get some feedback/advice/help/information on a few problems im having with my towncar.

I've been working on trying to make it 100% but i've run into some things i cant figure out or dont have any information on.

First problem i need assist with is the cruise control, it doesnt work at all :( I got buttons on the steering wheel to control it and turn it on/off but it does not seem to work at all, im wondering, what would cause it not to work, and does it have anything to do with my multifunction switch?

Second problem is: My multifunction switch seems to be malfunctioning i think, i have to hold the stick back to keep the brights on, with any other car i usually just press it back and it clicks, and the brights stay on, but with this car i have to hold it, also when i press the button on the end of the stick, on other cars ive driven, the wind shield wiper fluid gets dispersed onto the windshield, but that is not the case, even though the washer fluid tank is full of washer fluid, would that be because the multifunction switch itself is bad?

Third problem is: Only the driver side controls can roll the windows up and down, every one elses window switches do not function to roll the window up or down, im not sure why, the window lock doesnt have any effect on this problem either, im curious if you guys might know why this is happening?

I bought the car used a few months ago, its in pretty good shape, runs good, so far i've only had to replace 1 o2 sensor, and will be replacing the other o2 sensor pretty soon here and would just like to fix the rest of the little problems it has.

thanks in advance guys, i appreciate any and all help :)

1. Could be many things but my first guess would be the cruise control deativation switch.

2. I dont remember on a 92 but have you tried pushing the multi function switch towards the front of the car to keep the high beams on. When you pull it towards you all you are doing is activating the flash to pass funciton. Im not sure on a 92 if it needs to be pushed foward for them to stay on, but its worth a try.

3. Make sure the window lock on the master control switch is not on, it probably is.

Might be the multifunction switch, try checking all the fuses...

92's have an auto dimming switch which is the slide bar on the left below the dimming knob... This automatically dims the headlights at a certain distance(adjusted by moving the slide bar left and right) when the "eye"(mounted below the rear-view mirror) sees a bright light... This also overrides the brights on the car, thus preventing you from activating the brights and keeping them on...

Could be the electrical contactors on the other doors are not connected or dirty... Try cleaning them with Electrical Contact cleaner, you can buy a can from Napa for $5... It is a liquid which evaporates... Short bursts is what you want to use... If that doesn't work, you may need to physically check the wire to make sure they are ok and the power is flowing through them...

I'd say that central control switch is keeping them shut off all the time - common enough problem on Mercedes anyway.... that's the only logical explanation since they all work from the driver's seat

I have 92 Lincoln Town Car Executive, do not have any problem with the cruise control. But for the problem on your high beam, push the control forward that should activate your high beam to stay on pull towards you to go back to dim.
