I checked Kelly Blue book value for a 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII in fair condition (my honest opinion) with roughly 97000 miles and it showed the value at $1205.00 (trade in value). Would asking 1000 firm be a decent price? I know if I part her out, I can easily make more than that, but I'd rather leave that up to someone else to make some money if they just took it away all at once. Not sure if that is a absurd asking price (trans is slipping bad), but I thought I'd come her first prior to Craigslist/etc since you guys helped me in the past.
Here is the description to the best of my knowledge. I'll get better pics and more accurate info tomorrow, but just thought I'd toss it out there in case someone wants it locally or just wanted to shot their opinion my way on the value. Any info would be appreciated. The only reason I've been holding it for the last month is because I was trying to find a old hot rodder that wanted a more modern drive train, but I just got another DD and want this gone.
1993 Lincoln Mark VIII
Miles = 97,000 (Will get # on odometer tomorrow)
Blue Exterior
Blue Interior
4.6 L DOHC All Aluminum Engine
4 Wheel Independent Suspension
Recent Tune Up (About 10k miles ago using Ford/MotorCraft parts)
Plugs/Wires/Fuel Filter/Air Filter/Etc
Ford/Motorcraft Battery replaced at Tuneup above
Air Ride System Functional & Working
Keyless entry still functional
Pros
This car would be a great opportunity for someone to part out and make their $ back and take the parts that they need for their Mark VIII project. You can easily get what I want in parts alone if you have the time or desire to part it out yourself. If I do not get what I am asking, I plan on going that route (parts car) or giving it to my old man for a trade in at the value above when and if he buys a new car soon.
Cons
Radio/Cassette missing = harness butchered by previous owner
Transmission is slipping (Was quoted 650.00 from a shop on the NW side of Chicago to rebuild it and install it) Had a quote even cheaper, but it was for a used trans installed and not rebuilt, but came with a limited guarantee.
Need the Headlight conversion done or original (good) light installed, the lenses are frosted up, but working.
The Idler pulley makes a whine, can be replaced due to a recall, but has worked fine ever since I owned the car, minus the noise.
The car has it's dents/etc and they are more on the passenger side.
Had to get new keys for the doors, so the trunk does not have a key, but the trunk switch opens the trunk.
Any ?'s, I'll answer as honest as possible.
Also, opinions on what the car is worth via PM would be appreciated. Next step is Craigslist then Ebay (something I want to avoid). Just thought I'd toss it up here first in case anyone wants her as a project or parts car...

Better pictures coming soon.
P.S. If it's going on Craigslist/etc, I plan on putting 1300 obo and see if I get any bites. If it doesn't sell,
