<<<1994 Mark A/C Refrigerant--R134 or R12>>>

Just need someone to confirm what kind of a/c refrigerant 1994 Mark VIII's used. I asked this yesterday, no responses. Please check the sticker on your compressor as mine is unreadable. I called two dealers, one service guy didn't know, the other service guy said Lincoln R12 was phased out in the late -80s which I don't think is right.

the guys that told you r12 was phased out in late 80's

the first cars as far as i know to have r134 in the us were later 92 saabs and 1993 mark viii's

93's were the first american cars to stop using r12.

R-12, AND R-134A would have different fittings.

It was a law that by 1994 that you STOP using R-12 and convert to 134a (for production)
