Does anyone know an easy way to replace the front passanger headlamp bulb on a 1995 continental? Do I realy have to remove the whole compressor assembly just to replace the bulb? What about removing the entire lamp itself?

here is the assembly removal instructions

Section 17-01: Lighting, Exterior 1997 Continental Workshop Manual
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Headlamp Assembly

WARNING: THE REPLACEABLE HALOGEN HEADLAMP BULB CONTAINS GAS UNDER PRESSURE. THE HALOGEN HEADLAMP BULB MAY SHATTER IF THE GLASS ENVELOPE IS SCRATCHED OR THE HALOGEN HEADLAMP BULB IS DROPPED. HANDLE HALOGEN HEADLAMP BULB CAREFULLY. GRASP HALOGEN HEADLAMP BULB ONLY BY ITS PLASTIC BASE. AVOID TOUCHING GLASS ENVELOPE. KEEP HALOGEN HEADLAMP BULB OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
Removal
1. NOTE: The headlamp on this vehicle does not need replacement when the bulb burns out. Refer to Headlamp Bulb as outlined for removal and installation of headlamp bulb.
Position headlamp switch in the OFF position.
2. Lift hood and remove upper radiator support sight shield that extends across the vehicle just above the headlamps and grille.
3. Pull up inboard and outboard headlamp mounting clip (13N129) to release headlamp (13008) from grille opening panel.
4. Carefully slide headlamp forward and remove headlamp bulb and retainer (13N021) and park/turn bulb and socket from headlamp assembly.

Installation
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Aim headlamp as described under Adjustments.

Thanks, I knew there had to be an easier way. My sister lives in Canton....Ford and Lilly. Good luck with the holiday traffic. My sister says it gets pretty bad around there.

It does suck....Ironically enough, I live in a subdivision off of Lilly about a half mile south of Ford......

Replacing that light is a snap.....I have a link to a thread that actually has the diagrams to go with those instructions, but this site won't let me post a link to it.....this site changes the address to www.IAMASPAMMER.com for some lame ass reason.....email me @ j86fierose@yahoo.com if you want the link to the information.
