Ok, this is a project for someone.

For Sale is a 1998 Mark VIII. It needs a lot of work. I don't know the miles. I can get it if anyone needs it. I know the shop owner where this car is. It's been replaced with new airbags, and an oil filter adapter gasket. The car ran hot, and the head gaskets are gone. Now for the actual condition of this car, it was just driven. The previous owners did nothing else. The seat controls on the drivers side is barely hanging on, the steering wheel is worn, and chrome on the power windows are all gone. This Mark has the nice wood shifter though. The price is $2000.00

As it's not your car, GMAN, I'll say something.

That thing ain't worth 500 bux, let alone 2 grand. I'd suggest the owner either finds an unknowing fool to buy it, or he parts it out.

the interior is ragged out and the head gaskets need replaced. who knows what else is wrong with the engine. i woulndt pay 2 gs

yeah if the price was right? i can buy a working gen 2 for around 3 to 4 k. why bother with this one for 2k? the engine has overheated for one thing. dont know how much damage that caused.

Don't be afraid of a nice project. After all, my first gen one started the very same way. A nice rebuild with some cobra heads, 373 gears, one heck of a sleeper.

That's got all the parts that Cody needs for his car, hmmmmmmm

Update! Some work has now been done to the car. New headgaskets, machined heads, valve job, and new timing chains. So I don't know how much he will ask for that car now. I'll stop by there later today and get more pictures.
