hello guys, my name is thomas and im new to the forum. i have a 99' towncar with 267k on it and a stripped plug on the drivers side, which is causeing the engine to burn massive amounts of fuel and give me poor performance.. So i decided to do a engine swap, i found a 2003 crownc vic PI engine with 98k on it and did some trading and got the motor (with all accessories)+tranny+wiring harness out of the 03.. i could get the Ecm tho. i was wondering if my towncars ECM would run the PI engine and what modificaitions i need to do to have a clean swap. and im gonna put the engine on a stand and clean it up real nice and then i want to change all the gaskets and minor things that are a pain to do while in the car and tranny aswell.. what i was hoping was if you could help me out with what all is a good idea to change out while motor is on the stand i have a list of things:
Motor:
valve cover gaskets
oil pan gasket
spark plugs
intake manifold gasket
exhaust manifold gaskets
rear main seal
thermostat
oil+filter
throttle body gasket
Tranny:
pan gasket
front seal of tranny
any more idea's would be greatly appreciated
