Im stationed at FT Bliss, just got home from the sand box, bought a remanufactured engine from engines direct, 1st 1 came in was installed but started making noise at the shop right after install, valve wouldnt seal, replacement came in and installed, this runs great shop noticed that the radio however when the car is running and in park or "N" works but when they shift the car to Reverse or Drive-D1-D2 etc the radio shuts "OFF" when you switch it back to Park or Nuetral the radio works again???
The shop checked the fuse box, if you take the fuse out the radio comes back on. This is the fuse that controls the netral safety switch and the reverse lights, "thus with the fuse outthe radio works fine again", thus something has to be causing this and there isnt a wire that looks old or pinched etc,, im thinking its the neutral safety switch ???
Any thoughts please let me know,, its the only issue left to the car now and i have been without a car for a month 1/2,, thus i dont wantto take the car back until its perfect..
