whats everyones gas prices around theyre area. im paying 2.35 now after yesterday paying 2.11. gas i rediculous now it may come down to carpooling. anyone want to give me rides all over st. louis for the summer :).

also can someone tell me what difference it makes using the diff. grades of gas. my girlfriend keeps bitching that im wasting my money on the good atuff, and i tell her im not gonna degrade my car :C with the cheap stuff she puts in her infinity i30. please tell me what diff. it makes so i can shut her up

tell her to just zip it. The last thing yo want to do is pump 89/87 octane in ths car. It will run like hell and could damage the car if run for extended periods. I am paying 2.30 in tampa and 2.35 in sarasota.

There are plenty of posts about the octane question enough to take your case to the supreme, gas, court.

Gas prices here are right around 2.00-2.05 a gallon.

Don't use anything less than premium in the tank because it can screw up a lot and will cause detonation. I think it is worth the extra .2 a gallon for premium versus a new engine, or at least most of the internals, later down the road.

thats funny i met a few ls owners whos women own infiniti's. My wife uses that cheap stuff cant lie tho that g20 runs like a champ for a 160,000 miles. $2.35 is about average around my area.

thanks a great idea, ill do that too.
i know we can do a group buy for fred flinstones and all have themdue to the shietty economy

Well maybe it's just becuase I live in the black hole of the nation or "satan's :q " but our premium "went up" to $2.02 this week. Actually I think the Flinstone approach would be a massive improvement to some of the beaters down here.

87 octane

I have an 04 V-6 with 4,000 miles on it and have never run anything but 89 octane in it with no problems. I don't think it will spark knock, the computer will detect it and retard the timming. I know I may not get the performance but I don't get on it often.

Id kill for 2.02. Try living in the San Fran Bay Area! Talk about gougers and we have major refineries out here. :Bang

hahahahhahahahahahahhaha....NO. I am not that pissed yet. I would consider getting a smaller daily driver right now though. I have my Mustang up for sale as we are getting ready (have been getting ready for months) to build a house and need to get rid of the toy. :( If I sell it, maybe I will get some little sh*t box to drive. Maybe a little turbo car of some sort.

EL, Lumsden Rd. & Lakewood... Hess $2.16 for premium... It's getting sad. Gas prices are like a roller coaster. I heard there going to drop after the summer. Also look in Valrico near Wal-Mart, all those gas stations have a war. And the prices are cheaper there too.

OMG!! Im averaging over 20 mpg in my first almost 2 weeks of LS V8 ownership! Thats after getting 10 to 12 MPG in my Broncos! Ive never owned anything smaller than a V8 and doubt I ever will. Windstar doesnt count! Thats for the misses. Drive the car and dont compromise by getting something from overseas,,, even if it is built in the states!! :L

Wow! That is awesome. Thanks for the Tip. Idrive the same route so much I hardly see the surronding area. I leave my home hit Parson, MLK, I75 south and reverse the route on my way home. I will head over to the walmart around lunch today to scope the prices.

well 2.30 here in my neck of the woods.. really isn't a lot of trees here so i don't know why i say that.. lol.. Had to refinance the house cause i let the tank get below a quarter tank..lol which i usually never do.

you should say i your neck of the corn. ba.da.dum! You guys have ethanol in the gas out in your neck of the corn. Is that stuff safe?

definitely stay with premium after the guy accidentally put about 1/2 tank of regular, the car pinged when I accelerated hard. It was night and day the power and sound it gave off with that gas. I ran through that and am back to premium, and it never pings at all.

My car has never had anything less than Premium gas...
In fact, I add the Lucas Cleaner/Boost every 5 tanks. It's worth it!
Its a fact that the vehicle runs better... Just start telling your girl about
compression ratios and the quick burn effect of the lower octane gas.....
Trust me, She'll never say anything again!!
