2000 3.9 v8 valve lash

I would be much obliged if someone could grab a factory manual and check the valve lash specs for 2000 3.9. I have checked the 2006 online manual and it shows intake at .18 to .22mm and the exhaust at .33 to .38 mm.

I have seen other numbers that spec the exhaust from .23 to .28 mm.

Some jaguar manuals spec the intake at .20 +/- .02mm and exhaust at .25 +/- .02mm.

I would like to check the clearences before I pull the front cover off.

The OS on my old laptop with specs crashed a couple of days ago.

(0.00709-0.00866 in)
• Exhaust valve clearance: 0.23-0.27 mm
(0.00906-0.01063 in)
NOTE: A midrange clearance is the most desirable:
• Intake: 0.20 mm ( 0.00787 in)
• Exhaust: 0.25 mm (0.01 in)

Is this for gen 2 aswell or just gen 1??

No, the exhaust is different.

• Intake valve clearance: 0.18-0.22 mm (0.00709-0.00866 in)
• Exhaust valve clearance: 0.33-0.38 mm (0.0128-0.0148 in)
