I have a feeling your suffering from what appears to be a problem on all LS's.

Leaking Valve Cover Gaskets. it caused the coils to short out.

Search the forums here, I did, after reading all the posts here on the subject I took it to my local dealer and sure enough that was it, Being Fixed right now.

Not Cheap, About 6 hours in labor which at a dealership is $$$$$$$$

After about how many miles do these gaskets tend to fail? Or how many miles was everyone when they decided to start leaking? Valve cover gaskets can't be that hard for a do-it-yourselfer can it?

my car has 62K and they just started.....

I have read reports here of others lasting till 90K, but it seems common from about 65K on....

it is not really hard, Never dont it on this type of engine but I would not image it would be much harder then other DOHC engines I have worked on, however it is TIME consuming, which I dont have alot of....

great... i'm on 93K. Thanks for the information. Maybe i'll call the previous owner and see if he had it done.

Check the tech pages or the links in my sig.

Could be fuel pump problem too.
