2000 Lincoln Continental Main headlight fuse

Both of the headlights on my 2000 Lincoln Continental went out. It would be
highly unlikely for both bulbs to burn out at the same time, so I need to
know where the main fuse is for the lighting system. I have looked in the
manual, and I'm STILL looking through the manual.......two fuse boxes, etc.
Could someone with knowledge of the systen tell me the most logical place to
look? I DO need help. I am off work for a couple of days, but don't want to pass up
much needed work because my lights are out. Thanks....

I believe they are in the fuse box down by the driver's left foot. Black cover, red plastic if I remember correctly. It is outlined in the manual, too.
